On November 12, the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), and the National Development and Reform Committee (NDRC), jointly held the press conference in Beijing, formally announced "International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Plan in Renewable and New Sources of Energy and New Energy". The Plan formally listed IPR protection as one of the five principles during the cooperation.
Base on the principle of IPR protection, the Plan will enforce IPR protection during the protection so as to stimulate technological progress and innovation, and the transformation, application and promotion of technologic achievements.
The other four principles of the Plan are mutual-benefit and win-win cooperation, advanced technology sharing, integration of advantages of each party, as well as technological innovation.
It is learned that, as the clean and sustainable energy resources, renewable and new energy can offer important approaches and means for the future energy supply. The Plan, initiated by China, aimed at upgrading the development and application of renewable and new energy technology in China and the world, at dealing with global climate change, saving energy resources to carry out sustainable development of economic society, and strengthening international technological cooperation in renewable and new energy between China and the other nations.
According to the plan, the renewable and new energy mentioned above are solar energy, wind energy, bioenergy, geothermal energy, marine energy, as well as hydrogen energy and natural gas hydrate, etc.
