Recently, the 20th China International Sports Goods Fair was held in the Century Convention Center of Chengdu City, Sichuan Province.  The Intellectual Property Working Office of the Organizing Committee of the Sports Fair conducted a joint law enforcement inspection, at which, consultations as well as complaint reporting were accepted.  During the exhibition, 10 products of the 10 manufacturers that involved infringement were ordered to be removed, thus effectively safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the patentees.  This was also favorably commended by the Chinese and foreign manufacturers and the social public.

This session attached great importance to IP protection work. An intellectual property office was set up at the No.3 Hall by the organizing committee, at which, its functionaries received about 1000 persons times consultations on IPR. They included official from the International football Federation, official from the Chongqing Consulate of the British Embassy, and working staff of U.K. Ross International.  There were 23 cases on IPR dispute complaint reporting, of which, 17 were patent infringement dispute complaint reporting.  Pursuant to the regulations of the "Patent Law" and the "Measures Governing the Protection for Intellectual Property in the Exhibitions and Fairs", the administrative law enforcement personnel of the Provincial and City IP Administrations conducted technical comparisons carefully on the 17 products of the 17 manufacturers that involved infringement.  And together with the organizing committee of the fair, the law enforcement personnel ordered that the 10 products of the 10 manufacturers involved in infringement be removed from the exhibition.

It was learned that in the 4-day exhibition, more than 1000 enterprises took part and more than 3000 name-brands from China and abroad were displayed.
