Five provinces and municipalities in the pan-Bohai region held a cooperation conference on IPR protection in Tianjin on May 18, and signed the Cooperation Agreement on Pan-Bohai IPR Protection.

The five provinces and municipalities, including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong and Liaoning, vowed to coordinate their IPR protection efforts in the region. The Agreement aims to absorb advanced patent technologies and innovative achievements in the Pan-Bohai region, and turn the region into an industrial base with high technologies and distinct investment highlights that draws national and worldwide attention through stronger IPR protection.

The Agreement provides a firm guarantee for IPR protection in the region, while building up connections among the five provinces and municipalities, and creating synergy for IPR protection in the area. Moreover, the Agreement ensures concerted efforts in formulating and executing IPR protection measures within the region.
