Recently, it was learnt from the Social and Educational Center, CCTV that its Society and Law Channel will launch a large-size media action for the "IP Theme Publicity Month" in April.

It was learnt that this large-size media action will be the largest theme publicity coverage ever of the Society and Law Channel in the recent three years.  More than 11 different types of legality columns including: "Talks on Today's Law", "Reports on the Rule of Law in China", "The Net of Law", "Morality Survey", "Everybody's Law", "Perspectives of Rule of Law", "The Frontline", "Lectures on Law", "Scenes of Court Proceedings" and "Confessions" will, through various angles of analysis and coverage as well as analysis and perception on some typical case studies, reflect and interpret the theme on "IP Protection". A lot of focal issues of the society such as "Olympic IP Protection", "Overseas Protection of Rights and Interests for Famous Enterprises", "Collection of Charge of KTV Copyright ChargesRoyalty" and the dispute over "One-thousand Hands Goddess of Mercy" dance which are of extensive concern at present will be thoroughly explained and analyzed in the programs.

It was reported that on the very day of the 7th World IP Day which falls on April 26, a special program entitled "Protect IP –We Are in Action" (about 10 hours) will be launched by the Society and Law Channel.  Anchorman /anchorwoman such as Sa Beining, Lu Yiming and Lao Chunyan will work hand-in-hand with the correspondents who travel across the country and make retrospections on the progress of IP protection in China.  They will also make timely reports on the hot-debated events and the concrete measures to be taken pertaining to IP protection which is being fervently carried out throughout the country.

According to Tong Ning, Director of the Channel Editorial Department of the Society and Education Center, CCTV, this will be the first time for the Channel to integrate numerous columns which will last one month and carry out a large-size publicity on the theme.  In the process, special features of the professional channels of legality will also be displayed.  And through different programs, we envisage that the legal knowledge on IP may be popularized from various angles and in all-round dimensions.
