A few days ago Xiamen Arbitration Commission IP Arbitration Center unveiled its nameplate. This is the first professional IP arbitration center in the mainland of China, which aims to solve IP disputes in a professional, fast and effective way.    

Mr. Zhang Bingsheng, Director of Xiamen Municipal Arbitration Commission, expressed that the establishment of Xiamen IP Arbitration Center could better integrate resources of experts in this trade and render supporting legal services more in light of specific cases. Zhang Bingsheng said, the technological content of IP dispute is high and highly confidential, therefore, conventional methods are obviously not enough, and as an independent system of settling economic disputes in social life, arbitration is a means of profession and confidentiality and the arbitral award is final. 

Xiamen IP Arbitration Center will, according to its own needs, work out its reviewing procedure, set up a name-list of full-time arbitrators and a set of arbitration rules, recommend them to the party involved for free choice. The related party can make selection not only in dispute resolving organ or professional arbitrator with its confidence, but also in the arbitration procedure suitable to the specific content of dispute or even in the place of hearing.  (XINHUA)
