Foreign Ministry's Jiang Yu: IP Protection Is China's State Strategy

On February 15 Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jiang Yu hosted a press conference to answer reporters' questions on Sino-American economic and trade relations, the 6-party meeting, meetings of foreign ministers of China, India and Russia, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxin's visit to India as well as intellectual property protection in China. Jiang Yu stressed that protecting intellectual property is the state strategy of China, and IP protection is required by opening China still wider, improving its investment conditions and enhancing its capacity of independent renovation.
  
Jiang Yu reiterated: the Chinese government's approach towards IP protection is clear, its determination is firm, its action is positive and the result is known to all. We shall in the future continue to improve relevant legal systems, intensify law-enforcement, severely crack down upon all forms of infringement and protect the legitimate rights and interests of IP right owners from all other countries.
