The Supreme People's Court (SPC) IP Panel scored significant achievements in hearing various types of IP cases. The panel had tried 97 cases of various kinds, with 73% of them wound up by the end of December 11, 2006.
In 2006 the Panel accepted 100 IP cases of various types, among them 6 are for the second instance, 73 are for reconsideration, 4 are for review, and 17 are for instruction. With addition of the pending 33 cases from 2005, a total of 133 were accepted, an increase of 22% over the previous year. These cases involved professional technology, state industrial policies and renowned public figures, therefore, they have complex regal relations and much concern from the public and are easy to be hot points in the society.
It is further understood that the SPC IP Panel accepted 4 cases of concern from deputies of the People's Congress, and completed all of them by one hundred percent.
