Egypt Forms Committee to Propose IP Law

On January 6th, Egyptian Minister of Culture Dr. Mohammad Saber Arab issued a decision to form a committee responsible for drafting a law for IP protection. The decision is attributed to the constant violations that endanger the artistic products of all sorts and on the cultural industries. The Minister called on the committee to underline the administrative procedures and ministerial decisions required to be issued by the Ministry of Culture in order to be urgently discussed. The committee is expected to finish its task shortly.
