The 36th International Exhibition of Invention Opens in Geneva

The 36th International Exhibition of Inventions, New Techniques and Products, is held in Geneva, Switzerland on April 2. More than 1,000 inventions, new techniques and products are presented at the world largest exhibition devoted to invention with the longest history of its kind.

More than 700 exhibitors from 45 countries and regions, including individual inventors, scientific researchers, universities and private and state-run scientific research institutes, attend the exhibition with their inventions covering various sectors of human life such as sporting facilities, portable machineries, small motor vehicles, articles for daily use and healthcare products.

Geneva International Exhibition of Invention is characterized by a large amount of small inventions and creations. A portable keyboard speaking machine for deaf-mutes from France is a little bigger than a PSP. By typing sentences on the keyboard, the machine can speak through a small speaker inside it.The invention IM BOT, which is from Taiwan, China, is an interactive MSN-based toy that changes its face according to the smiley received on a computer. Inventors Wei Feng and Qiu Zhenli from Hangzhou, China, present their parallel car parking unit, which, after installed on a car chassis, can help the driver park his/her car precisely.

Owing to the fact that the inventions exhibited in the exhibition can be easily commercialized and a large number of investors would like to come here to seek business opportunities, the exhibition can attract numerous inventors from many countries and regions. Meanwhile, the exhibition also consists of numerous varieties of inventions. Statistics show that the volume of business of patent transaction reached $40 million in the exhibition last year.
