USPTO Releases Annual List of Top 10 Private Sector Received Most U.S. Patents

The Department of Commerce’s United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) announced the top 10 private sectors receiving the most U.S. patents during 2004 in January 2005. IBM tops the list for the twelfth consecutive year.

The list below is the Top 10 Private Sector Patent Recipients in 2004 compared with their rank in 2003.
