According to the Administrative Review Law, the CNIPA establishes the procedure for administrative review. It aims to rectify any illegal or improper specific administrative act, protect the lawful rights and interests of citizens, legal persons and other organizations, and ensure the legitimacy during the CNIPA's exercise of functions and powers.

Any applicant, patentee, and other interested person who is not satisfied with a specific act of the CNIPA may file a request for administrative review free of charge.
