Under the National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), the Automation Department is responsible for formulating annual plans, medium and long-term development plans for CNIPA’s information technology (IT) practices. The Department is also responsible for a wide range of activities: managing CNIPA’s IT project construction; deploying and managing automation equipment; operating and maintaining terminal equipment, information-based system, and network environment; processing and maintaining patent data; preparing data for business system; managing patent data resources; participating in international cooperation and communication on information-based intellectual property practice; and addressing information security-related matters.
