The CNIPA, ever since its foundation, always holds an open policy towards the international community, and takes active, steady, and effective actions in international cooperation.

The CNIPA, as being charged for coordinating international affairs in IP field, has participated widely and deeply in the consultations and negotiations in formulating or adjusting relevant international intellectual property norms under the auspice of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) or the World Trade Organization (WTO). Meanwhile, it also actively makes efforts to expand bilateral and multilateral cooperation with other international organizations and states in the field of intellectual property issues.
