On April 20, the 2024 National Intellectual Property (IP) Publicity Week activities were launched online. This year's theme is "Promoting High-Quality Development by Facilitating Commercialization and Utilization of Intellectual Property Rights". The week-long activities are led by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), in collaboration with 18 other departments and units.
During the Publicity Week, the three organizers will jointly hold a press conference to introduce the progress of China's 2023 work in building an IP Powerhouse. The Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security, and other departments will organize various activities, and release a series of reports and typical cases related to IP work. The Organizing Committee of the National IP Publicity Week has selected and set 10 regional venues in Liaoning, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Henan, Hubei, Chongqing, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and Guangzhou, to jointly create an IP culture with the concept of "respect knowledge, preach innovation, obey the law with honesty, compete fairly".(Translated from CNIPA Website Chinese Version)
