The first Shanghai International Online Literature Week, which opened on Nov 16, attracted writers and translators, as well as representatives of online literature businesses, from various countries to discuss industry trends. The countries involved included the United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and the Philippines. China exported more than 10,000 online literature works to more than 40 countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative in 2019, according to the event's organizers.
